AUTOR DEL CURSO: Sr. Cornelis Steenken, Consultor en DDR/SALW/SSR Posconflicto. Ingresó a la armada canadiense en 1975 y se graduó en el Royal Military College en 1980, habiendo desempeñado diversas funciones jerárquicas de comando, intercambio, entrenamiento y operativas a bordo de buques y en tierra firme. Ha actuado como pacificador de las Naciones Unidas en el terreno. Fue director de programas de DDR del Centro Pearson de mantenimiento de la paz y co-autor del Manual de DDR A Field and Classroom Guide. Steenken inició el Grupo de capacitación integral en desarme, desmovilización y reintegración (IDDRTG) y contribuyó a la creación de las Normas Integradas para el Desarme, Desmovilización y Reintegración (IDDRS). Imparte cursos de DDR en todo el mundo.
