Lesson Eight focuses on the importance of communication, which is vital to achieve mission effectiveness. A peacekeeping service must have an adequate communication system to facilitate rapid transmission from the lowest level in the field to the mission headquarters. A lack of proper communication could seriously undermine the control of an operation. This lesson briefly addresses different methods of communication used in an operation, with particular guidance to ensure clear voice communication.
