"The course, Implementation of the UN Security Council Resolutions on the Women, Peace, and Security Agenda in Latin America and the Caribbean, provided a comprehensive understanding of the regional implementation of the Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) Agenda within diverse political, social, and developmental contexts. The programme explored the role of gender-responsive governance, inclusive participation, institutional accountability, and human rights-based approaches in strengthening peacebuilding and sustainable development across the region. A key strength of the course was its emphasis on translating international policy frameworks into practical strategies that address gender inequality, violence, social exclusion, and institutional challenges affecting vulnerable populations. The programme highlighted the importance of stakeholder collaboration, community participation, protection mechanisms, and evidence-based policy implementation in promoting sustainable peace and social resilience. The course was highly relevant to my professional work within mental health services, rehabilitation, public health systems, and governance-oriented community programmes. It strengthened my understanding of the intersection between psychosocial wellbeing, gender inequality, trauma, community vulnerability, and institutional responsiveness within complex social environments. The programme also reinforced the importance of multidisciplinary collaboration, monitoring and evaluation systems, trauma-informed support approaches, and inclusive governance frameworks in advancing equitable and sustainable service delivery outcomes. Overall, the course was informative, professionally enriching, and closely aligned with my broader interests in governance, mental health, community resilience, human rights, and evidence-based public sector development."

"I appreciated how the course provided a comprehensive overview of the Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) Agenda within the specific regional context of Latin America and the Caribbean. It effectively highlighted the progress made, the challenges faced, and the unique sociopolitical dynamics that shape the implementation of UN Security Council Resolutions such as 1325. The use of case studies, local perspectives, and examples of grassroots initiatives made the learning process both relevant and engaging. The course did a great job emphasizing the importance of localizing the WPS agenda and recognizing the role of indigenous and Afro-descendant women in peacebuilding. I found the section on regional mechanisms—such as the role of organizations like CELAC and the efforts of national action plans (NAPs)—especially insightful. It would be helpful to include more interactive elements such as interviews with practitioners from the region or short video case studies to bring the content to life. I also appreciated the attention given to intersectionality and the way structural inequalities (such as gender-based violence, displacement, and poverty) intersect with peace and security concerns. Overall, the course deepened my understanding of how global frameworks can be adapted and implemented in specific cultural and political contexts."

"The Course gives a very comprehensive, concise and candid profile of Latin America and the Caribbean Region including the various challenges being confronted and efforts taken and being taken towards implementation of different provisions of UNSCR 1325 on WPS and its sister resolutions. A course on Implementation of the UN Security Council Resolutions on the Women, Peace, and Security Agenda in Global North or Europe also needs to be developed."
