In this final lesson, we examine command practices and techniques that require mastery at the tactical level in United Nations peacekeeping missions. Training and competence are both key in establishing an effective mission, and it is specifically important for the formed military units to provide a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement in the mission area. The lesson also discusses the tasks and techniques of United Nations police in maintaining law and order and providing assistance to other civilian sections of the UN mission.
