The larger number of multi-dimensional actors present in today's complex peace operations, in addition to the broad range of issues they deal with, have made coordination among the various multi-functional actors a crucial element in the success of these missions. Lesson 12 addresses how civilian and military peacekeepers coordinate their efforts and work together to achieve the peace operations' mandate and goals.
