Lesson 10 identifies and discusses the remaining three vulnerable groups: ethnic, linguistic, and religious minorities; indigenous people; and refugees. The lesson will provide you with a brief history of each group’s rights, as well as analyses of the various protective instruments on both the global and regional levels. The right to self-government, which is of particular importance to indigenous people, is briefly analysed and compared to the previously discussed right to self-determination.
