 Video Transcript

Peacekeepers and MILOBS have an increased risk of stress due to the hazardous and isolated environments in which they work. The occupational complexities that characterize peacekeeping operations, as well as the prolonged separation from family and other support systems, exacerbate these risks. The stress that peacekeepers undergo in this context represents predictable occupational hazards and normal responses to extraordinary circumstances. Lesson 5 provides peacekeepers with the basic concept of stress and how to manage stress symptoms.
