A United Nations aircraft crashed at the N'Djili International airport in Kinshasa on Monday 4 April at 13:55 local time. The Canadian Regional Jet (CRJ) 200 was on a regular flight from Kisangani to Kinshasa with 29 passengers and 4 crew members. The incident occurred just as the aircraft was landing. The United Nations Security and medical teams have been working on the identification of the crash victims. The lone survivor has been hospitalized, his identity has not been released.
