Following the life cycle of a mission from start-up to mandate implementation to exit transition, Lesson 4 describes the necessary elements of logistics planning, regardless of mission size. The pre-planning process must take into consideration the variables of a specific mission, including the tasks expected, the geographic and climate conditions of the mission, and the actors and provisions involved. Throughout its operation, logistics support must be well integrated with a mission? operational activities, and it should also be constantly reviewed and revised until a mission dissolves and withdraws.
