 Video Transcript

As representatives of both the UN and their own countries, peacekeepers and MILOBS must maintain the highest standards of integrity and conduct, which can impact the success of an entire mission in both negative and positive ways. It is imperative that peacekeepers understand and respect the differences in cultures; understand the significance of gender relations in the work they undertake; and uphold the rights of children in situations of armed conflict. Lesson 6 will discuss these standards of behaviour for peacekeepers in the field.
