Course description

The aim of the course is to provide participants with a broad understanding of the issues, processes, actors and experiences related to current DDR programs with a focus on African PSO. It is designed for personnel who have already been trained as MILOBs.

The course is one week long, run by the Staff (South African) and subject matter experts from the Folke Bernadotte Academy of Sweden. The course will feature presentations by subject matter experts, case study presentations by senior representatives from current African DDR operations, syndicate discussion relating to key issues, simulation exercises and direct observation of the DDR structures and processes within the DDR environment.

Number of Students per Course:

30 – Military Rank Range: Captain to Lieutenant Colonel.
One week course for trained MILOBs.
This course is only open to South African personnel.
