The aim of the course is to provide naval operations planners and executors with a comprehensive knowledge of the Law of Armed Conflict (LOAC) to enable them to apply naval power within the obligations of the LOAC in times of armed conflict, whether international or non-international in nature. The course will also consider some of the legal principles and obligations involved in the application of naval power in operations not subject to the LOAC. This course will be offered at the same time as the course for Planners and Executors of Air Operations and collaborative periods will be spent with each course, culminating in a joint exercise to plan an Air/Naval Campaign.
