The course provides the students with the knowledge and skills necessary to fulfill duties as UNPOL Officers in MINUSTAH, as set in the SGTM 1 and STM 2.8 projects. The mission-specific part of the course addresses cultural and geopolitical issues that will enable the students to join the UNPOL component of MINUSTAH. The course topics include the UN organizations, the purpose of peace operations, and the Chilean policies for participation in peace operations.
